If you didn’t know this already I have recently started teaching a few different cake decorating classes over at The Cake College in Berkshire. Here is a quick show of what you can learn from the Painted Vintage Cupcake Class. These cupcakes have a lovely vanilla buttercream centre with a smooth high-domed fondant top. They kind of remind me of the big marshmallow teacakes you can get, and we all know how yummy they are!
Painting on fondant is actually very simple and something I find very therapeutic too. Whilst we will follow this design as a guide, the inner artist in you may fancy trying something a little bit different, experiment even and that’s totally fine. With cake decorating I firmly believe there are no rules, and that’s what makes each design unique to you. And what’s great is that you can make mistakes when painting on fondant and they can be removed too!
If you fancy learning this clever technique pop on over to the website and book your class! Give me a little comment on here if you do and Ill see you on the day 🙂
